How does dead body freezing works?

Dead body freezing is used
for preserving bodies for awaited identification, post-mortem, burial/
cremation, etc. It saves the body from decomposing which happens when the
bacterial growth starts. Probably all the hospitals have dead body’s freezer to safely store the body until the
relatives/family members come.
The
process of dead bodies freezing
The dead
body is stored in extremely low temperature to prevent is from decay. Normally
it is done by the process called Cryopreservation.
It
protects every cell in the body from the decay. In the first step, the dead
body is kept in a bathtub containing ice. During this time an oxygen mask is
placed on the mouth. This is done to confirm the individual is dead.
Cry protective
agents are injected in the body after removal of the body fluids. This protects
the body from becoming frozen in the mortuary freezer box. The body is slowly cooled to prepare it for the dead body freezing.
Now, the
last step – the dead body is placed in a bag for insulation. Nitrogen gas is
filled in the box. The cooling process is continued until the temperature
reached the minimum range.
